Yes, you read that title correctly. According to [redacted] Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II will be getting a 4K UltraHD re-release deluxe edition in 2022 with a Dolby Vision transfer.
This is good news to me as the first release is terrible in my opinion. It’s old film with lots of grain, but it becomes distracting in 4K and even washed out some of the details and dulled many others.
As this is not an official release we still don’t know if there will be new extras or not, but I suspect the new releases will coincide with the release of Ghostbusters: Afterlife.
