No, I’m talking about the orange cat with black strips and all attitude. I’m talking about, Andrew Garfield. Who, you might ask? Well, Andrew is an up and coming actor who’s started in film like Lions for Lambs, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus and the British miniseries Red Riding.
The 26-year-odl Brit beat out a list of 8 other young actors to secure the coveted role of Peter Parker aka Spider-Man. Director Marc Webb (500 Days of Summer) had this to say at the press conference announcing the casting news:
Though his name may be new to many, those who know this young actor’s work understand his extraordinary talents. He has a rare combination of intelligence, wit, and humanity. Mark my words, you will love Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker.
