Despite the fact that Xander Cage was apparently killed off between xXx and the subpar sequel xXx: State of the Union Vin Diesel and direct Rob Cohen plan to bring him back to the Xander Zone.
The tentively titled “xXx: The Return of Xander Cage” is being planned for a summer release in 2010. Rob Cohen had this to say regarding the film:
“Yes, they’re doing it with me and producer Joe Roth. We made the deal recently, it’s named xXx: The Return of Xander Cage. We met the writers yesterday and we’re trying to get into production by late spring, to have it out for the summer of 2010.”
As I’ve been dubbed a “bald headed disciple of Vin” I am excited to see this character return. While some of the action was over the top unreal in the first movie it was still a fun watch. With the 4th Fast and the Furious headed back to the big screen with Vin next summer hopefully two successfully movies could lead to another Chronicles of Riddick (my favourite Vin character).
