You know that 10-disc box set that will most likely be added to your collection.Read on for more you Matrix junkies… Two versions of this set will be available just in time for Christmas. Some time in December you’ll see a standard set, which will include 10-discs: the 3 movies, the Animatrix, and 6 bonus materials DVDs. The second set will be a collector’s giftset, which will contain 10-disc edition, as well as a Neo minibust, and an 80-page book with never-before-seen artwork and storyboards.Now that the boxset mumbo jumbo is out the way we can focus a little bit on what’s in the set.Contrary to earlier reports that new extended versions of the films would be in the set it will only include the theatrical versions. Two new audio commentaries for each film have been recorded. One from philosophers Ken Wilber and Cornel West (they analyse the meanings behind the films) and the other from three professional critics who detested all three pictures. For those who didn’t pick up Enter the Matrix this set will also included all the scenes filmed for the game. The first movie, The Matrix, will have a brand new digital transfer.
