Hot off the press, you might say, are several big announcements spanning the DVD market. All together, there’s some really great stuff coming our way, including new special editions of SAVING PRIVATE RYAN, WIN A DATE WITH TAD HAMILTON, TORQUE, and PAYCHECK. Well, maybe not all of them are great. But you WILL find something you like. There’s a bunch, so let’s not waste any time:SAVING PRIVATE RYAN 60TH ANNIVERSARY COMMEMORATIVE EDITION (DreamWorks) – 2 discs due on May 25th! Will feature a 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer, Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1 soundtracks, as well as all the same goodies from before. More extras are a possibility, and we will keep you posted as that develops.WIN A DATE WITH TAD HAMILTON (DreamWorks) – Sports a 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer, English and French DD 5.1 tracks, deleted scenes, gag reel, and outtakes. Due April 20th.TORQUE (Warner) – 2.40:1 anamorphic widescreen and 4:3 pan & scan available separately. Both will include DD 5.1 track, audio commentary, 5 featurettes, deleted scenes, trailers, more to come. Watch for it if you’re really hard up for things to do on May 18th.And Paramount will bring us a shopping cart full of great stuff as we move further into spring.
