Supergirl is an upcoming American superhero film that reimagines the iconic DC Comics heroine for a bold new era of the DC Universe (DCU). Directed by Craig Gillespie and written by Ana Nogueira, the movie marks the second official installment in the newly launched DCU. Milly Alcock takes on the role of Kara Zor-El / Supergirl, leading a powerhouse cast that includes Matthias Schoenaerts (Krem of the Yellow Hills[), Eve Ridley (Ruthye Marye Knoll), David Krumholtz (Zor-El), Emily Beecham (Alura In-Ze), and Jason Momoa (Lobo).

In this darker, more cosmic story, Supergirl sets out on a brutal, vengeance-driven mission that sends her across the galaxy. The film is produced by James Gunn and Peter Safran under DC Studios, promising a fresh cinematic take that blends high-stakes action, emotional depth, and an edgier vision of one of DC’s most beloved characters.
Supergirl is set to hit theatres in the United States on June 26, 2026, distributed nationwide by Warner Bros. Pictures.
