Arrow Video June Slate: Jackie Chan, Audition 4K, and Neo-Noir Classics

Physical media collectors, start clearing your shelves. Arrow Video has just unveiled its June lineup, and it is a certified scorcher. From the high-kicking stunts of Hong Kong’s favorite son to the bone-chilling psychological horror of Japanese cinema, this month’s slate is a masterclass in genre curation.

Whether you’re a martial arts fanatic, a J-horror devotee, or a lover of gritty Australian “Ozploitation,” here is what you can look forward to this June.

The Main Event: Jackie Chan’s Breakout Hits (4K UHD)

Release Date: June 30

The crown jewel of the month is undoubtedly Jackie Chan’s Breakout Hits limited edition box set. This 10-disc collection brings six of the films that turned Jackie Chan into a global icon to 4K Ultra HD for the first time.

The set includes:

  • Drunken Master II
  • Rumble in the Bronx
  • Thunderbolt
  • Police Story 4: First Strike
  • Mr. Nice Guy
  • Who Am I?

Why it matters: For years, Western audiences often saw butchered, re-edited versions of these classics. Arrow is providing both the Hong Kong and International cuts, all sourced from brand-new 4K restorations. It’s the ultimate way to witness Jackie’s death-defying stunts in crystal clarity.

“Kiri-kiri-kiri…”

The new 4K restoration was approved by DP Hideo Yamamoto and comes packed with commentaries, interviews, and an appreciation by historian Tony Rayns.
