Fans of BUDDY are getting the chance to turn the theatrical experience into a full-on musical celebration with BUDDY: THE SING-ALONG VERSION.
Roadside Attractions and Saban Films are bringing this special version of the film to cinemas nationwide October 2, complete with on-screen lyrics that allow audiences to sing along with Buddy and his unforgettable songs.
Before the nationwide release, a special Biggest Night Out Gala Premiere will take place on September 29 at the historic Alex Theatre in Glendale, California.

Get Ready to Sing With Buddy
The sing-along edition gives audiences a different way to experience BUDDY, putting the lyrics directly on the screen so fans can join in throughout the movie.
The theatrical event encourages audiences to dress up, sing loudly, dance, and embrace the colorful world of Buddy. Songs including “It’s Buddy!,” “You’ve Got to Be Scared to Be Brave,” and “The Wrong Place in Town” will be featured as part of the special presentation.
According to Roadside Attractions Co-Presidents Howard Cohen and Eric d’Arbeloff and Saban Films Co-President Jonathan Saba, audiences were already singing and dancing during regular screenings, inspiring the companies to create a version that encourages them to make even more noise.
A Special Orange Carpet Premiere
The Biggest Night Out Gala Premiere takes place Tuesday, September 29, at the Alex Theatre, the historic 1,300-seat movie palace located in Glendale.
Tickets for the special orange-carpet event reportedly sold out within three hours after being promoted through Buddy’s social media channels.
Director Casper Kelly, along with cast members Delaney Quinn, Madison Skyy Polan, CJ Williams, and Luke Speakman, are scheduled to attend the event and take part in the sing-along with fans.

The story takes place inside the bright and cheerful television world of “It’s Buddy!”, where children sing, dance, and learn life lessons alongside the orange unicorn. But when one child refuses to participate, the seemingly happy environment begins to show a much darker side.
BUDDY’s Big Box Office Run
According to Roadside Attractions and Saban Films, BUDDY has earned more than $25 million over five weeks.
The distributors also describe the film as the biggest opening of the year for a movie playing on fewer than 1,800 screens, an impressive result for an independent R-rated horror film that isn’t part of an established franchise.
They further report that BUDDY has become Saban Films’ highest-grossing film since the company’s launch and the third-highest-grossing film in Roadside Attractions’ history, behind I Can Only Imagine and Manchester by the Sea.
