After seeing Ghostbusters Afterlife in theatres I cannot wait to watch it again at home in 4K Ultra High Definition. The good news is, it’s a little more than a month away before you can bring home the Afterlife. On February 1st the movie that reinvigorated Ghostbusters fans will be available for you to add to your collection, but that’s not all… Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is releasing a beautiful-looking Ghostbusters Ultimate Collection 4K UltraHD boxset.
The Box set will include Ghostbusters, Ghostbusters II and Ghostbusters: Afterlife on 4K UltraHD Blu-ray, PLUS two discs full of special features including over 20-hours of rare behind-the-scenes and must-see archival gems. I feel like I’m using “includes” too much, but it also includes the FULL preview cut of the original film.
The boxset is coming in ghost trap packaging with lights and will have a full 220-page reprint of the rare 1985 Ghostbusters book.
Are you wondering where the 2016 movie, Ghostbusters Answer the Call 4K disc is? SPHE is not including it. Instead, you’ll be able to get a digital version of it along with all the other films.
