The streaming giant has acquired the works of author Roald Dahl known best for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda, The BFG, and so many more.
Many of works have already been made into movies with two Chocolate Factory movies (Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), Matilda, The BFG, James and the Giant Peach, The Witches, and a few others that were inspired by his works.
Netflix started their journey with the Roald Dahl Story Company a few years ago and have been working on an animated series with Academy Award winning filmmaker Taika Waititi and Academy Award nominee Phil Johnston based on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The streaming giant has also paired with Sony on an adaptation of Matilda the Musical.
