Yes, no one can hear you scream in cyberspace, but people can read the large outcry of sci-fi geeks worldwide when word spread about the inevitable Alien prequel coming from producers Ridley and Tony Scott.
Film newcomer Carl Rinsch will direct the prequel to the to the four film franchise. Bloody-Disgusting.com was the first to report the rumour, however, it was Collider who scored direct confirmation from Tony Scott.
When asked about the rumours Scott said the following: “Yes, Carl Rinsch is going to do the prequel to Alien. He’s one of our directors at our company.” He also added the they were hoping to start production by the end of the year, but that it’s not yet set in stone.
Is this good news, bad news, or are we going to finally get to see the Alien home world? Will it feel more like Alien or more like Aliens? Looking at Rinsch’s comercial work he definiately has some talent.
