An outspoken psychologist named Judy (Tomei), still carrying the scars of past heartbreak, sets off on a last-minute trip to Los Angeles with her closest friend after learning that her lovestruck daughter is planning to marry a man she barely knows. Convinced that her daughter’s fiancé shows all the signs of being a narcissist, she becomes determined to intervene before the wedding takes place.
What begins as a simple attempt to talk some sense into her daughter quickly turns into a complicated and emotional journey, forcing her to confront her own beliefs about love, relationships, and the possibility that she might not have the whole story.
