Return to Panem: Explore the World 24 Years Before The Hunger Games In THE HUNGER GAMES: SUNRISE ON THE REAPING, In Theatres This November

Fans of The Hunger Games are set to return to Panem in Sunrise on the Reaping, the highly anticipated film adaptation set 24 years before the original story. Centred on the 50th Hunger Games—also known as the Second Quarter Quell—the film begins on the morning of the reaping, where the stakes are deadlier than ever.

Directed once again by franchise veteran Francis Lawrence, the adaptation brings a familiar visual intensity and emotional depth that longtime fans have come to expect. The story dives into a darker chapter of Panem’s history, in which twice as many tributes are forced into the arena, amplifying both the brutality of the Games and the tension among the districts.

The film will spotlight a younger version of Haymitch Abernathy, played by Joseph Zada, the eventual mentor fans know from the original series.

As the adaptation of Sunrise on the Reaping continues to take shape, expectations are high for a gripping expansion of the Hunger Games universe. With its focus on one of the most infamous Games in Panem’s history, the film promises intense action, emotional storytelling, and deeper insight into the forces that would later ignite rebellion.

The Film hits theatres this November 20
