Plot Synopsis
When rookie deputy Toby Sawyer (Duke Nicholson) is assigned by Chief Krueger (William H. Macy) to guard a dead body, it seems like an uneventful overnight assignment.
Everything changes when the corpse mysteriously disappears.
Determined to prove he isn’t responsible, Toby launches a desperate investigation that uncovers decades of corruption hidden beneath the surface of his quiet hometown. As powerful figures pressure him to abandon the case, Toby finds an unlikely ally in fellow deputy Amanda Jackson (Tiffany Haddish).
