Starring Academy Award-winner Al Pacino (The Godfather trilogy) and Dan Stevens (Abigail), The Ritual delivers a haunting and faithful retelling of the true story of Emma Schmidt, a woman allegedly possessed for decades. Her terrifying ordeal culminated in a series of exorcisms in 1928, making it one of the most well-documented cases of demonic possession in American history.
Based on true events, this gripping supernatural thriller follows two priests confronting pure evil in a relentless battle to save a soul from Satan’s grip.
Joining the powerhouse cast are Ashley Greene (The Twilight Saga) and Abigail Cowen (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina). The Ritual is directed by David Midell (The Killing of Kenneth Chamberlain) and co-written with Enrico Natale (Catalyst).
The Ritual will be playing in UK and Irish cinemas from 30 May.
