ANIMOL (2026): Ashley Walters’ Powerful Directorial Debut Hits UK Cinemas This October

Set inside a juvenile detention centre, Animol follows Troy (Tut Nyuot), a teenager thrust into a violent ecosystem ruled by gangs, shifting alliances, and constant intimidation. From the moment he arrives, Troy is tested—paired with a volatile cellmate and forced to navigate daily threats and power struggles.

His only sense of relief comes from an unexpected bond with fellow inmate Krystian (Vladyslav Baliuk). But in a place where vulnerability can be fatal, their growing connection becomes increasingly dangerous. The film blends raw realism with emotional depth, exploring survival, loyalty, and the fragile humanity that persists even in oppressive environments.
