Steve Oram stars as a vicar pushed to the breaking point after his 10-year-old daughter is abducted in Simon Rumley’s disturbing new horror thriller CRUSHED.
Set in the suburbs of Bangkok, Thailand, CRUSHED follows English vicar Daniel, who appears to have an idyllic life with his wife May and their young daughter Olivia. That life is shattered after Olivia is exposed to a disturbing animal cruelty video, setting off a horrifying chain of events that ultimately leads to her abduction.
A Father’s Search for His Daughter
With Olivia missing, Daniel and May are thrown into a desperate search for their daughter. As the search continues, the couple is forced to confront fear, trauma and some of the darkest extremes of human behaviour.
For Daniel, the ordeal becomes more than a search for his child. As he comes face to face with unimaginable evil, the lifelong man of faith begins questioning everything he has preached and believed in.
Can Daniel continue to live by his faith and beliefs, or will the desire for revenge consume him?

A Story of Faith, Revenge and Trauma
Expanded from Simon Rumley’s 2012 short P IS FOR PRESSURE, which appeared in The ABCs of Death, CRUSHED explores difficult themes including faith, revenge, forgiveness and trauma.
The film also addresses the disturbing realities surrounding child trafficking and animal cruelty, giving its horror story a darker real-world edge.
