Dexter Morgan’s Dark Passenger isn’t going anywhere.
Paramount+ has unveiled the teaser for Season 2 of DEXTER: RESURRECTION, promising another bloody chapter in the continuing story of television’s most notorious serial-killing antihero.
Michael C. Hall returns as Dexter Morgan, and this time he’s facing a new collection of killers who could prove just as dangerous—and perhaps even more unpredictable—than he is.
Season 2 of DEXTER: RESURRECTION premieres October 30 exclusively on Paramount+.
Dexter Morgan’s Dark Passenger Returns
After everything Dexter has endured, you’d think he might finally be able to leave his murderous alter ego behind.
Apparently not.
Season 2 continues the bloody saga of Dexter Morgan as his Dark Passenger once again demands attention. While Dexter attempts to navigate the increasingly complicated world around him, the arrival of multiple new serial killers promises to create a deadly game of cat and mouse.
And Dexter isn’t necessarily the only predator in the room.
The new season introduces The New York Ripper and The Five Borough Killer, two killers with very different methods and motivations who could force Dexter to confront threats unlike anything he’s faced before.
Brian Cox Is The New York Ripper
One of the biggest additions to Season 2 is legendary actor Brian Cox, who joins the regular cast as The New York Ripper.
The character is a serial killer who once terrorized New York City. When Dexter encounters him, however, the Ripper is apparently on a hiatus from killing.
That doesn’t mean he’s reformed.
Instead, The New York Ripper continues to maintain his presence by taunting survivors of his previous killing spree.
Having Cox—a performer best known to television audiences for his Emmy-winning work in Succession—step into the Dexter universe as a serial killer is an intriguing casting choice.
And Dexter Morgan meeting another experienced killer could make for one very dangerous relationship.
Dan Stevens Becomes The Five Borough Killer
Another major Season 2 addition is Dan Stevens, who joins the series as The Five Borough Killer.
The character appears to draw inspiration from the notorious Zodiac Killer, using threats and messages to taunt law enforcement.
But unlike someone who merely wants attention, The Five Borough Killer follows through.
He threatens to murder innocent people—and then carries out those threats.
That puts him on a collision course with the authorities and potentially with Dexter himself.
For Dexter, a killer who deliberately communicates with police and enjoys playing psychological games could present an entirely different kind of challenge.
Uma Thurman Returns as Charley
Uma Thurman is also returning for Season 2 as Charley.
The character was introduced during the first season of DEXTER: RESURRECTION and was last seen apparently leaving New York City with her frail mother.
Her return suggests that her story is far from finished.
Thurman’s involvement remains one of the more intriguing pieces of the new season, particularly as Dexter’s world becomes increasingly crowded with dangerous personalities.
Gabriel Luna and Krysten Ritter Return
Season 2 also expands the show’s collection of killers.
Gabriel Luna joins the season in a guest role as serial killer Ray Ballard, also known as The Sleepy-Eyed Stranger.
Meanwhile, Krysten Ritter reprises her Season 1 guest role as Mia LaPierre, better known as Lady Vengeance.
With multiple killers operating within the same story, Dexter could find himself dealing with a far more complicated criminal landscape.

Dexter’s Bloody Story Continues
What makes DEXTER: RESURRECTION particularly interesting is that Dexter is no longer simply hunting killers from the shadows.
The arrival of characters such as The New York Ripper and The Five Borough Killer creates the possibility of Dexter encountering people who understand the psychology of murder just as well as he does.
That could make Season 2 less about Dexter simply finding his next target and more about what happens when predators recognize other predators.
With Michael C. Hall once again at the center of the story, the series has plenty of opportunity to explore Dexter’s increasingly complicated relationship with his own Dark Passenger.
