Plot Synopsis
Set in Los Angeles during the early 1980s, The Shards follows a close-knit circle of affluent high school seniors attending one of the city’s most prestigious prep schools.
Among them is Bret Easton Ellis, a young aspiring writer whose seemingly perfect world begins to unravel as friendships become increasingly strained by jealousy, obsession, hidden desires, and dangerous secrets.
As rumors spread about a mysterious serial killer stalking the city, paranoia infiltrates the students’ privileged lives. Every relationship is tested as the line between truth and deception blurs, forcing the group to confront the darkness hiding behind their glamorous lifestyles.
