How Far Would You Go For A Billion Dollars? Final Trailer For THE RUNNING MAN, Opening November 14th

Edgar Wright’s The Running Man Brings Stephen King’s Dystopian Classic Back to Life

Acclaimed filmmaker Edgar Wright (Baby Driver, Last Night in Soho) is set to reimagine The Running Man, Stephen King’s explosive dystopian novel, in a bold new adaptation starring Glen Powell, Josh Brolin, Emilia Jones, and Colman Domingo. The upcoming film, co-written by Wright and Michael Bacall, promises a thrilling and satirical look at a future where entertainment and violence collide on live television.

Set in a near-future society obsessed with reality TV and bloodsport, The Running Man centers on Ben Richards (Powell), a desperate working-class man who agrees to participate in the nation’s most popular—and most dangerous—show. As a contestant, or “Runner,” Ben must survive 30 harrowing days while being hunted by professional assassins, with every moment broadcast to a voyeuristic public hungry for chaos.

When Richards’ survival instincts and defiance turn him into a reluctant national hero, the show’s charming yet ruthless producer, Dan Killian (Brolin), scrambles to control the narrative as ratings soar and the system begins to unravel.

The film is executive produced by Stephen King, alongside George Linder, James Biddle, Rachael Prior, Audrey Chon, Pete Chiappetta, Anthony Tittanegro, and Andrew Lary, with Simon Kinberg, Nira Park, and Edgar Wright serving as producers.

With its mix of sharp social commentary, adrenaline-fueled action, and Wright’s signature kinetic style, The Running Man is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated sci-fi thrillers of the decade.
