Plan B Entertainment is an upcoming American horror film written and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Jane Schoenbrun (I Saw The TV Glow). Starring Hannah Einbinder (Hacks) and Gillian Anderson (The X-Files), the film is a high-profile co-production between Mubi and Plan B Entertainment, blending arthouse sensibility with slasher-movie nostalgia.

The story follows a queer filmmaker who is hired to helm the latest installment in the long-running Camp Miasma slasher franchise. What begins as a career-defining opportunity soon becomes something far more personal—and unsettling—when the director becomes determined to cast the reclusive actress who originally portrayed the franchise’s iconic “final girl.” As the two women begin working closely together, creative obsession gives way to a spiralling psychosexual intensity that blurs the line between performance and reality.

Schoenbrun has described the film as their “best attempt at the sleepover classic”—an insane yet strangely cozy midnight odyssey that feels like discovering a forbidden gem in the horror section of your local video store. Bold, provocative, and atmospheric, Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma promises to be one of the most talked-about horror releases of the year.
The film opens in theatres across the United States and Canada on August 7.
