Spider-Noir is an upcoming American noir superhero television series developed by Oren Uziel for MGM+, based on Marvel Comics’ iconic Spider-Man Noir. Set in a gritty, alternate-universe version of 1930s New York City, the series follows an aging, down-on-his-luck private investigator who is forced to confront his troubled past, along with the shadow of his former life as the city’s only masked hero.

Created with a moody detective-film atmosphere and classic noir style, Spider-Noir is co-showrun by Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television, in association with Lord Miller Productions, Pascal Pictures, and Amazon MGM Studios, and takes place within an alternate corner of Sony’s Spider-Man Universe (SSU).

Nicolas Cage stars as Ben Reilly / The Spider, reprising the character in live-action after voicing a version of Spider-Man Noir in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018). The cast also includes Lamorne Morris, Li Jun Li, Karen Rodriguez, Abraham Popoola, Jack Huston, and Brendan Gleeson.
All eight episodes of Spider-Noir will be released globally on Prime Video on May 27.
