THE CREEP TAPES Season 3: Shudder’s Chilling Anthology Returns With Six New Tapes

The cameras are rolling again, and that is very bad news for anyone who finds themselves on the other side of them.

Shudder has unveiled the official trailer for THE CREEP TAPES Season 3, bringing back Mark Duplass as the deeply unsettling serial killer at the center of the Creep franchise. The new season promises six bizarre, disturbing and darkly funny tapes, each offering another glimpse into the mind of a killer whose behavior becomes increasingly unpredictable as his unsuspecting victims discover exactly who they are dealing with.

Created by Mark Duplass and Patrick Brice, the series returns this September for another unsettling collection of found-footage horror.

THE CREEP TAPES Season 3 Plot

Season 3 once again takes viewers inside the secret vault of one of the world’s most disturbing serial killers.

Each episode presents another videotape documenting one of his encounters with unsuspecting victims. What initially appears to be an unusual or even harmless interaction gradually becomes more uncomfortable as his strange personality and increasingly questionable intentions begin to emerge.

As the tapes continue, the victims realize they may have made a terrible mistake by allowing this mysterious stranger into their lives.

The third season continues the show’s trademark combination of psychological horror, uncomfortable humor and found-footage filmmaking, creating the unsettling feeling that viewers are watching something they were never supposed to see.

Six New Tapes, Six New Victims

Season 3 will consist of six episodes, with each tape introducing a new situation and a new potential victim.

The appeal of The Creep Tapes comes from never quite knowing where an episode is heading. The killer’s unpredictable personality can make an encounter seem almost absurd one moment before turning genuinely disturbing the next.

That uncertainty has become one of the franchise’s greatest strengths.

Season 3 Guest Stars

The new season features several exciting guest appearances, including:

  • Kate Siegel (Carrie)
  • Nic Hamilton (IT)
  • Elliott Fullam (Terrifier 2, Terrifier 3)
  • Ora Duplass (Coven Academy)

Ora Duplass, daughter of series co-creator and star Mark Duplass, will also appear in a throwback episode, adding another interesting wrinkle to the upcoming season.

Mark Duplass Returns as the Creep

Mark Duplass once again takes center stage as the unsettling killer whose bizarre social interactions form the foundation of the series.

Duplass has helped make the character so effective by balancing awkward humor with genuine menace. His performance creates an uncomfortable uncertainty about whether the Creep is joking, manipulating his victims or preparing to do something much darker.

That unpredictable quality is essential to the show’s horror.

The Creative Team

The Creep Tapes was created by Mark Duplass and Patrick Brice, who also serve as writers and executive producers.

The series expands upon the cult Creep franchise, which began with Brice’s 2014 feature film starring Duplass and Brice.

The television format allows the filmmakers to explore the character through a wider collection of encounters, turning each episode into another disturbing piece of the killer’s hidden archive.

When Does THE CREEP TAPES Season 3 Premiere?

The third season premieres Tuesday, September 15, 2026, exclusively on Shudder and AMC+.

The season will begin with a two-episode premiere, followed by the remaining episodes of the six-episode season.
