Leading international and independent film distributor Well Go USA Entertainment has officially secured the North American rights to Legend of the White Dragon, an eagerly anticipated superhero action film marking the final on-screen performance of Jason David Frank. Directed by Aaron Schoenke and Sean Schoenke, the film is poised to resonate with longtime fans and new audiences alike.
Produced by Bat in the Sun Productions, Aaron Schoenke not only co-directed and co-wrote the film but also appears alongside Jason David Frank, widely recognized for his iconic role in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. The ensemble cast features a dynamic lineup, including Rachele Brooke Smith (Center Stage: Turn It Up), Jenna Frank, Andrew Bachelor (The Babysitter), Michael Madsen (Reservoir Dogs), along with David Ramsey (Arrow) and Mark Dacascos (John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum). Legend of the White Dragon is scheduled for a special theatrical release on National Power Rangers Day, August 28, 2026.

At its heart, Legend of the White Dragon tells the compelling story of Erik Reed, a once-revered hero forced into exile after a catastrophic battle devastates part of his city and reveals his true identity. Formerly celebrated as the White Dragon, Erik now finds himself blamed for the destruction and separated from the life and family he once knew. As corruption begins to take hold of Virtuo City, he is reluctantly drawn back into a world that no longer trusts him. Faced with his past and an emerging threat powered by the same mysterious energy that once defined him, Erik must decide whether he can reclaim his place as a hero in a city that has already passed judgment.
“Legend of the White Dragon not only delivers the thrilling sci-fi action fans expect, but also honours the life and legacy of Jason David Frank, whose impact continues to be deeply felt,” said Doris Pfardrescher, President and CEO of Well Go USA Entertainment. “It’s truly an honour to bring such a meaningful film to audiences across North America.”
The film also celebrates the legacy of the Power Rangers franchise, featuring fan-favourite alumni such as Jason Faunt (Power Rangers: Time Force), Ciara Hanna (Power Rangers: Megaforce), and Cerina Vincent (Power Rangers: Lost Galaxy).
“We’re incredibly pleased to partner with Well Go on the North American release of Legend of the White Dragon,” said Chris Jay, the film’s lead producer. “After such a long journey, it’s rewarding to see the film find a distributor that truly understands both its audience and the significance of Jason David Frank’s final performance.”
Reflecting on the film’s development, Aaron Schoenke shared, “From the very beginning, this project has been fueled by passion, perseverance, and a deep respect for the fans. We’re excited to collaborate with Well Go in bringing Legend of the White Dragon to audiences everywhere, and to honor Jason’s final role in a way that feels truly meaningful.”
“This is exactly the kind of project that thrives with the right distribution partner, and Well Go is an ideal fit,” added Alex Chang, co-founder of Paradox House. “We’re looking forward to seeing Legend of the White Dragon enter its next chapter and connect with the dedicated audience that has been
eagerly awaiting its release.”
LEGEND OF THE WHITE DRAGON will arrive in select theatres on National Power Rangers Day, August 28, 2026.
