Beware Boiúna arrives exclusively in theatres on October 2, bringing audiences into a dangerous world where the jungle itself becomes a battleground and an enormous prehistoric predator returns to reclaim its territory.

A Medical Mission Turns Into a Nightmare

The story follows a group of people working on a medical mission deep within the Amazon. What begins as an effort to help those living in one of the world’s most remote environments quickly takes a terrifying turn when they encounter Boiúna, a colossal ancient predator that has awakened after centuries hidden away.

With the creature defending its territory, the group finds itself completely outmatched. Cut off from civilization and surrounded by an unforgiving jungle, they must find a way to survive while Boiúna hunts them through the wilderness.

In a place where nature holds all the power, survival isn’t guaranteed—and Boiúna decides who lives and who dies.

Mike P. Nelson directs Beware Boiúna and co-writes the film alongside Alan B. McElroy and Tony Giglio.

Nelson is no stranger to survival horror, having previously directed The Domestics and Wrong Turn. His experience with isolated environments and brutal survival scenarios makes him a natural fit for a creature feature set in the Amazon.

An Ancient Monster Awakens

At the center of the film is Boiúna, a gigantic predator inspired by Amazonian mythology. The creature’s arrival gives the movie a classic monster-movie setup while placing the action against one of Earth’s most mysterious and unforgiving environments.

Rather than simply fighting their way out of the jungle, the characters must contend with a predator perfectly adapted to its surroundings. Every river, tree and shadow could potentially hide the creature.
