A suspenseful apocalyptic film, The Happening follows a group of people on the run from an inexplicable and unstoppable event that threatens not only humankind, but the most basic human instinct of them all – survival! Shyamalan’s first R-rated film begins with no clear warning, as a series of strange, chilling deaths that defy reason in their shocking destructiveness erupt in major American cities. Blending Shyamalan’s distinctive vision, blend of suspense and drama, THE HAPPENING on DVD extends the terror with a mix of bonus material too intense for theatres including deleted scenes, gag reel, making of documentary, and more. The film will be available in two DVD configurations; a single-disc widescreen version and in high-definition format on Blu-ray Disc with Digital Copy. Fox’s new Digital Copy allows viewers to quickly and easily transfer a digital version of the film to a Mac or Windows-based PC computer and then to select portable video devices including an iPod and/or iPhone.
