MUBI has unveiled the official trailer and new artwork for Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma, the highly anticipated queer horror film from acclaimed filmmaker Jane Schoenbrun, director of I Saw the TV Glow and We’re All Going to the World’s Fair. Following its breakout world premiere at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, where it earned the prestigious Queer Palm, the film is set to open in Canadian theatres on August 14, 2026.

Leading the cast is Hannah Einbinder as Violet, alongside Gillian Anderson as Camp Counsellor Marianne Blackwood. Written and directed by Schoenbrun and produced by Plan B Entertainment, the film was financed by MUBI, which will also distribute the feature across key international territories, including North America, the U.K., Ireland, Germany, Spain, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, India, and Latin America. The Match Factory is handling worldwide sales, while Scythia Films provided local production services under executive producer Daniel Bekerman.
Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma marks Schoenbrun’s third feature film and continues their signature blend of queer storytelling, identity-driven horror, and emotionally immersive coming-of-age narratives. Their previous breakout feature, I Saw the TV Glow, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival before screening at major festivals including Berlin International Film Festival, San Sebastián International Film Festival, and South by Southwest, later earning multiple nominations at the 2025 Independent Spirit Awards including Best Director, Best Feature, and Best Lead Performance.
