Joined by her older brother Tzain, Zélie forms an uneasy alliance with Princess Amari and Prince Inan, the daughter and son of the very king responsible for the oppression of magic users. Together, they embark on a perilous journey filled with powerful enemies, ancient magic, and impossible choices.
As the kingdom teeters on the edge of war, Zélie must embrace her destiny and confront the brutal reign of King Saran, whose relentless campaign to eradicate magic has left Orïsha divided by fear and suffering. Their fight will determine whether hope—and magic itself—can return to the land before it is lost forever.
