Indican Pictures is bringing Lucky Strikes, a new sports comedy about friendship, family legacy and one very important bowling alley, to VOD and digital platforms on September 22, 2026.
Directed by Darcy Waite, the film follows a struggling former bowling star who finds himself with one final chance to save the place that means everything to his family.
Plot
Adam (Meegwun Fairbrother) was once a talented bowler, but those glory days are long behind him. Now washed-up and struggling to find his direction, Adam faces an even bigger problem when the local bowling alley founded by his late father is threatened with demolition.
For Adam, the bowling alley isn’t simply a business. It represents his father’s legacy and a connection to his own past.
With the wrecking ball approaching, Adam teams up with his best friend Benny (Victoria Gwendoline) to come up with increasingly outrageous ways to raise enough money to save the beloved local establishment.
Unfortunately, their efforts are complicated by Adam’s arch-nemesis Sarah, who is determined to sabotage their plans.
As one scheme after another fails to deliver the results they need, Adam and Benny realize that they may have one last opportunity to save the bowling alley: competing in the national bowling championship.

Friendship, Family and Bowling
At its heart, Lucky Strikes is a story about friendship, family and fighting for the things that matter.
Adam’s struggle to save the bowling alley also becomes a personal journey. The venue represents his relationship with his late father and gives him an opportunity to reclaim a part of himself that he thought he had lost.
Benny’s unwavering friendship provides Adam with the support he needs, even when their increasingly wild fundraising ideas don’t go exactly according to plan.
The Road to the National Bowling Championship
The film combines comedy with an underdog sports story as Adam’s attempts to save the bowling alley ultimately lead toward a high-stakes championship showdown.
With the future of his father’s legacy hanging in the balance, Adam will have to put his bowling skills—and his determination—to the ultimate test.
The championship provides the film with an opportunity to bring together its various storylines, putting Adam’s rivalry with Sarah, his friendship with Benny and his desire to honor his father on a collision course.
