A New Chapter Inspired by Real Events
Rather than serving as a direct sequel, The Social Reckoning acts as a companion piece to David Fincher’s acclaimed 2010 film The Social Network.
Based on the shocking revelations published in The Wall Street Journal’s “The Facebook Files” investigation, the film follows the true story of Frances Haugen, the Facebook engineer who risked everything to reveal internal company documents that raised serious questions about the social media giant’s practices.
The story chronicles Haugen’s partnership with investigative reporter Jeff Horwitz, whose reporting helped bring the documents to public attention and sparked a global conversation about social media’s influence on society.
Cast and Characters
Leading the ensemble cast is Mikey Madison as whistleblower Frances Haugen, the former Facebook employee whose revelations shook Silicon Valley and Capitol Hill alike.
